Stories from the record

Story 01

A bridge becomes a performance space

Work on the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain began in 2007, with an opening ceremony in 2009. Water, music and lighting turned a crossing into a place to stop and watch the river.

Story 02

What does 1,140 meters measure?

The official figure adds the fountain sections on both sides of the bridge. It is not the length of a single side. Viewing the upstream and downstream edges helps explain how the installation spans the river.

Story 03

Water changes with light

By day, watch the shape of the jets; after dark, notice light and music. The water itself is not colored. Operation is not continuous, so check the official schedule and explore the bridge and riverbank when it is off.
